Attempting to Swallow 3 Times in a Row for a Healthy Nervous System

Can you swallow three times in a row?

Amy saw a news article about this and brought it to The Bobby Bones Show to make sure everyone can do this. The research says that if you can't swallow three times in a row, then your vagus nerve is dysregulated from long-term stress exposure. Apparently, this is because your swallow reflex is controlled by your vagus nerve, which is the same nerve that allows you to manage your stress response and regulate your nervous system. Whenever your vagus nerve is dysregulated, your brain can't communicate properly with your swallow reflex leading to a hesitation after the first or second swallow.

For further context, if you have a dysregulated vagus nerve it can lead to difficulty feeling your emotions, hypersensitive to pain, unable to focus, nauseous and lightheaded, overwhelmed by small tasks, and often feel wired but tired at night.

Bobby, Amy, Eddie, and Lunchbox all attempted the swallow test. Amy was able to do it very easily, while the guys all admitted the third swallow was difficult. Lunchbox managed to swallow three times in 8 seconds then Bobby attempted a second time and was able to get 3 in 6 seconds.
