Over the weekend, Eddie broke his arm while at the rollerskating rink.
He shared with the Bobby Bones Show that his son wanted to go roller skating for his birthday, so the whole family went. For over 2 hours, Eddie was dominating the rink, he was even doing little spin moves. He was about to get off the rink when his son asked to do one last lap and race each other. So Eddie did and they were flying, well one of his skates got in front of the other and Eddie went flying forward. He tried to put his hands down to break his fall, but the momentum on his hands broke his arm.
Eddie's arm started tingling immediately and he knew something was wrong. However, it was 9pm when they left the rink so he decided to sleep it off and go to the emergency room in the morning. While Eddie was sleeping, he woke at 3am in major pain. His wife couldn't drive him to the ER because all of their kids were sleeping, so he managed and drove himself in. The whole thing took about 3 hours, but x-rays confirmed his arm was broken. The doctor in the ER wouldn't put a cast on him because he wants an orthopedic specialist to see him first for the best treatment. Eddie did get a slind and some pain medicine to manage until he's able to get into an orthopedic specialist.
He feels really stupid and he's worried about everything like working and editing videos. He admitted that if the Def Leppard drummer can do it, he can do it.
