Former One Direction member and current brooding solo artist Zayn Malik is GQ's July cover boy.
In his interview with the magazine, Malik expressed how he doesn't feel the need to put a label on his relationship with longtime on-again, off-again girlfriend Gigi Hadid, saying:
“We’re adults. We don’t need to put a label on it, make it something for people’s expectations.”
The musician and model have been linked since November 2015, but officially called it quits in March of this year via posts on their respective social media accounts.
Since then, the pair has been spotted canoodling several times and even posted pictures of each other on Instagram, but neither have spoken out about their current status - which makes more sense now that we know they don't have one.
He went on to say in the GQ article that Hadid provides him with support, helps him see life in a more positive way and credits her with keeping him organized saying, "she doesn’t handle my finances yet. We’ll get to that eventually.”
This statement got under our skin...
Is it fair that Gigi is putting all of this time and effort into a relationship that doesn't have a label? Is she OK with not having one? Does Zayn provide her with all of the things she so willingly gives to him?
Guess we'll have to wait for the next cover to find out.
