Kelly Clarkson Thanks Estranged Husband After Winning A Daytime Emmy

Kelly Clarkson still has love for her estranged husband, Brandon Blackstock.

The American Idol star was awarded a Daytime Emmy on Friday (June 26) for her work on The Kelly Clarkson Show. Clarkson took home the Outstanding Entertainment Talk Show Host honor during this year’s awards, and celebrated her big win on social media.

“OH MY GOSH!!!!!! What is happening?!!!! This is amazing!!! Thank y’all so much!!! And a MAJOR thank you to my entire crew that really is the reason I won!!! I can’t wait to celebrate with our whole crew when humans can congregate again!!” the 38-year-old tweeted following her victory. “This calls for a PARTY!!!! I could never have achieved this without my #hometeam so THANK YOU for taking such great care of my babies when I can’t.”

After thanking her crew, the “Broken & Beautiful” superstar then gave a loving shoutout to Blackstock for supporting her, writing, “Thank you so much to @BBlackstock for believing in me & convincing me to do @KellyClarksonTV show and @lifeofT for being the greatest friend/assistant.”

The "Stronger" musician's warm expression of gratitude to Blackstock comes weeks after the musician filed for divorce from the talent manager after nearly seven years of marriage. During their relationship, the estranged couple welcomed two children — 5-year-old daughter, River Rose, and 4-year-old son, Remington.

As previously reported, Clarkson and Blackstock’s decision to end their marriage was reportedly sparked by months-long marital issues that supposedly became too much to bear while the couple quarantined together at their residence in Montana.
