Lauren Alaina Reacts To Being On Next Season Of Dancing With The Stars 2019

"Bobby Bones talked me into it!"

The full cast of season 28 has been revealed on 'Good Morning America' on Wednesday morning and social media is buzzing about the news of the newest members. One of the stars that was revealed is iHeartCountry 'On The Verge' artist and American Idol alumni Lauren Alaina.

Alaina recently performed at 102.5 KNIX's Acoustic Summer show in Phoenix, AZ where she talked about her excitement being casted for the show and says she's not the best dancer but she's ready to give it her all, plus gives insight on how iHeartCountry's Bobby Bones encouraged her to do it.

"A lot of people who worked for Dancing With The Stars worked for American Idol so I knew a bunch of people that worked there. And Bobby said when I was there that I need to do the show and I said 'oh yeah that'd be fun!'... and they called me for the next season. So here we are!"

The cast of this year's Dancing With The Stars season include "Bachelorette"Hannah Brown, "Queer Eye" star Karamo Brownand former NBA star Lamar Odomare, actor James Van Der Beek, supermodel Christie Brinkley, former Fifth Harmony member Ally Brooke, former NFL star Ray Lewis, actress Kate Flannery, comedian Kel Mitchell, The Supremes music legend Mary Wilson, and former White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer.

Dancing with the Stars premieres on ABC Monday, September 16, at 8 p.m.
