I am so full of positive energy today, and that is all thanks to the attendees of the American Cancer Society's 2018 Making Strides Against Breast Cancer kickoff!! I had the honor of hosting the breakfast this morning, and we heard from some truly inspiring women.
Seeing the breast cancer survivors walk in all together is enough to get me teary eyed, but hearing Lorraine (a 6 year survivor) and Raquel (a 12 year survivor) tell their stories truly touched my heart and inspired me. These women, and every survivor in the room today, are warriors and they fill me with hope. See our photo together below. Lorraine has created a team of family and friends for the Making Strides Walk and together they have raised over $50,000! I love their team name too, "Cancer Messed with the Wrong Girl"! Raquel is one of many women in her family who have been diagnosed, including her sister, who was diagnosed the same year as Raquel. Despite their battles, both women show up to relive that experience in hopes of inspiring others to take action. They certainly had all of us in that room inspired today.

#Repost @amandaisonair ・・・ Getting to know these two women absolutely made my week. Lorraine is to my left and Raquel on my right. Both are breast cancer survivors and hearing their stories, how they’ve been through hell and back, really puts things in perspective and helps refocus on what is truly important. These women, as well as dozens of other survivors who joined us at the kickoff for @makingstridessac, are WARRIORS and they fill me with hope. Thank you @acs_california for allowing me the honor of hosting this breakfast today.
