Hannah Mooney wrote a heartwarming tribute to her eldest child’s he celebrates his 6th birthday.
“To the boy who made me a mama… I hope you know the world has known more joy these last 6 years because you’re in it,” Hannah wrote in her tribute to Asher James on Wednesday afternoon (January 25). “You’ve taught me more about life and God’s love than you’ll ever know. You’re a special little boy and I can’t wait to see how you keep changing this ol world🤍 Happy 6th birthday to the best big brother and kindest heart I know! We love you!!”
Hannah and her husband, country superstar Shay Mooney, welcomed Asher on January 24, 2017. Shay said in a heartfelt post as he announced his firstborn son’s arrival: “It's hard to describe the love you feel for the first time when you hold your child. I will never be the same. Asher James, I promise to be the father you deserve. And Hannah, I promise to be the husband you want and need. I love you both so much. You've given me everything I never knew I needed. Welcome to the world Asher James Mooney.”
The Dan + Shay artist and his wife grew their family again with two more sons. Ames Alexander was born in February 2020, and Abram Shay, the youngest Mooney child, arrived on earlier this month. The proud parents introduced their newborn son to the world by sharing a sweet video of Shay singing to him. They’ve since shared adorable moments as a new family of five on Instagram, including a photo on Hannah’s story on Thursday morning (January 26) of Asher holding Abram: “First thing every morning we’ve got to hold baby brother,” she wrote.
