Kelsea Ballerini Reveals Taylor Swift's Go-To Drink To Pair With 'Folklore'

Taylor Swift's new album, folklore, is a glowing transition for the pop titan and the surprise set has plenty of fans in their feelings.

Earlier this week, Swift confidant Kelsea Ballerini, 26, spoke the album, detailing a text exchange she had with the superstar, 30. "Here's the thing, I am so protective of what I say about her art because I'm such a superfan. I've only given it a quick listen this morning while having coffee. So, I really need to give it the listen it deserves before talking about it," Ballerini admitted during a radio interview. "I texted her yesterday and I'm like, 'Alright. Am I red wine-ing? Am I Manhattan-ing? Am I tequila shoting?'… Like, where am I going?'" As for Swift's recommended drink to pair with the 16-track collection, Ballerini revealed the star's response to her text: "She was like, 'red wine…buckle up.'"

Besides the flood of positive reviews for the LP, Swift's Easter eggs buried within the lyrics to the set are still making the rounds. Most notably, the album has prompted Swifties to analyze a cut on the latter part of the collection called "betty." As per whispers, the title of the track serves as the name of Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively's newest addition to the family, who they welcomed on October 4, 2019. In case you haven’t heard, the track also mentions their two daughters: Inez, 3, and James, 4. The former's mention arrives during the pre-chorus ("You heard the rumors from Inez/ You can't believe a word she says") and the latter appears during the bridge ("She said 'James, get in, let's drive'/ Those days turned into nights").

Swift worked on the follow-up to 2019's Lover with The National's Aaron Dessner, William Bowery, Bon Iver, and Jack Antonoff. Click here for more on the album!
