Darius Rucker To Perform Pre-Race Concert At 2020 Daytona 500

Darius Rucker will hit the stage at the 2020 Daytona 500 to perform a pre-race concert on Sunday, February 16. This performance will mark Rucker's fourth appearance at Daytona International Speedway and first at the "Great American Race."

"Darius Rucker's appeal is massive, encompassing fans of both rock and country music, making him a perfect fit for fans attending 'The Great American Race," Daytona International Speedway President Chip Wile said. "A talent like this is rare. Darius is a true American success story and we are proud to welcome him back once again."

The Dayton 500 will serve as NASCAR's Cup Series season opener. Fans who purchase pre-race tickets for the event will be able to view Rucker's show as well as introductions of the drivers. Tickets, designed around the country singer's appearance, start at $213. There are a limited number of tickets available.

Rucker's first appearance at the speedway was in 2002, and most recently, in 2010 when he gave a solo performance for the Coke Zero Sugar 400. He also made an appearance at the track with his band, Hootie & the Blowfish, in 2003 for a Dale Earnhardt tribute concert.

Tickets for the 62nd annual Daytona 500 are available on the racetrack's website. The race will take place on Sunday, February 16.
