What 24 Yr Olds Care About: Diamond Piercings Trending Over Wedding Rings

Instagram is the destination for totally bizarre style and beauty trends. Users share photos of something they did and then it starts to pickup speed with other people trying it.

The latest trend that's been gaining momentum is the dermal piercings as a sign of commitment. Piercing loves are commemorating their love by piercing their ring fingers instead of getting rings.

The dermal piercing makes it look like the diamond or crystal is floating on top of the finger. A well known, professional body piercer Billy DeBerry in Florida told People magazine that he has been giving clients dermal piercings on their ring fingers for years, but only recently saw a spike in them since social media exposure.

What do you think of the new trend? Would you do this instead of a traditional wedding ring?
