Kansas Basketball Fever: Here’s where Jayhawk Fans Will Gather in Wichita

The KU game is rapidly approaching and KU fans will be taking over Wichita!

Their practice is Wednesday and it's free to the public!

Event Time & Doors: Doors will open at 10:00 a.m. with practices times listed below. Fans are permitted and encouraged to come and go throughout the day, but will be required to go through the security process on each re-entry of the arena.

Penn Practice: 11:00am

N.C. State Practice: 11:45am

Kansas Practice: 12:30pm

Seton Hall Practice: 1:15pm

Houston Practice: 3:25pm

Michigan Practice: 4:10pm

San Diego State Practice: 4:55pm

Montana Practice: 5:40pm

Promotions:The first 1,500 fans in attendance will receive a free commemorative rally towel. Between 11am-2pm, fans who purchase an adult combo meal will receive a free refillable NCAA Souvenir Cup.

Parking & Shuttle Information: Please refer to the below parking map, or visit www.parkdowntown.org for detailed information on parking and shuttles. Shuttles will be running continuously throughout the practices.

There's also a 10:30 AM KU Pep Rally at Brick + Mortar on Thursday! Throughout the tournament, Brick + Mortar (the glass tent) will be hosting parties, concerts and gatherings and are calling their event “Battle of the Brackets.” 

Food and drink will be for sale at Brick + Mortar, which will feature a 30-foot bar, a stage, more than 10 large-screen televisions and an LED video wall. Fire pits and more bars will be set up outside. The glass tent will be open from noon to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, from 9 a.m. to 2 a.m. Thursday, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on and Friday and from 8 a.m. to 2 a.m. Saturday.

Brandon Lay will be performing on Friday night as well.

The official watch party bar for KU fans in Wichita is Public at the Brickyard, 129 N. Rock Island, and the open-air Brickyard Bar will be open starting on Wednesday.

KU's first-round game is against the University of Pennsylvania, a No. 16 seed.
